Spring trends (so far)

The semester is finally coming to an end (tomorrow) so I get to have a break from studying and finally setting my mind on my favorite subject: fashion. Today, after swipping by Zara to indulge some shopping, I watched some of the Spring 14 designs in the best fashion website, Style.com.

Transparencies are definitely one of the strongest trends for this spring, whether it's on black or in pastel colours.

  

Metallic colors and bold figures in Versace, honouring the critically acclaimed Grace Jones. Every single piece is perfection.

Bipolar state of (shopping) mind

The weather has been so crazy this year. We had just one day of snow in December and then we had a autum-ish cold weather that made no sense at all. Finally, the winter and its beautiful snow arrived this week and everything is far more beautiful. Winter sales make their appearance with the sole purpose of waking up the mad shoppaholic in me and I couldn't resist buying this soft sweater and stocking up shoes for summer (already?!)

Dieses Jahr ist das Wetter immer noch verrückt geworden! Wir hatten nur einen Tag Schnee in Dezember und danach gab es ein herbstliches Wetter, welches kein Sinn gemacht hat. Endlich ist der Winter da und auch seinen schönen Schnee, und nun ist alles schöner geworden. Winterschlussverkäufe tretten auf mit dem einzigen Ziel, den irrer Shoppaholiker in mir aufzuwachen. Ich konnte es nicht helfen und habe ich mich einen kuscheligen Pullover gekauft und auch die wunderschönste Sommerschuhe (schon?!)

Birthday bells

My birthday is coming up and I'm thinking about spoiling myself with some things I've had in my eyesight for a long time. In my exchange year I met a sweet swedish lad that wore a beautiful watch. I asked him what the brand was and I didn't recognize it, but I remember he said its name with an impecable english accent that I had to google it afterwards. Since then I'm obsessed with Daniel Wellington watches.

In wenigen Tage ist mein Geburtstag und ich habe ein Paar Sachen zwischen den Augen, die mir ganz gut gefallen würden. Als ich ein Austauschschüler war, kennte ich ein süßer Schweder kennen, der eine wunderschöne Uhr trug. Ich fragte ihm, was für eine Marke es war und es kam mir nicht bekannt vor, aber ich erinnere mich daran, dass er die Name mit so einem tollen englischen Akzent sagte dass ich es später googeln sollte. Seitdem bin ich in den Daniel Wellington Uhren verlibt.

Jetzt ist die Frage, welche? Winchester, Oxford, Glasglow? Was denkt ihr?

The Beginning

One of my constant hobbies through the years has been blog surfing, all kinds of blogs. From tumblr to wordpress, I love following blogs and keeping out with them, although I've never been able to start a blog myself. Here's to 2014, finally pushing through and starting a blog.

The first thing that I urgently need to do for 2014 is to organize myself (Agenda!!!), get a workspace and set my mind to accomplish all the goals I've proposed for this year.
